Welcome to Our Church Community
Find Where You Belong
Join us at one of our six locations across Grand Rapids for Bible study, prayer, and authentic fellowship. Whether you're a morning person drawn to our Wednesday studies or prefer Thursday evenings at our Madison Square campus, there's a gathering that fits your rhythm. Each location has its own unique character, but all share the same heart: creating space where God's KAVOD transforms lives through genuine community.
Ministry happens when we show up for each other and our community. Whether you have a few hours a month or can commit to regular involvement, there are countless ways to use your gifts—leading prayer, setting up spaces, welcoming newcomers, or simply being present with an open heart. The best ministry often happens in the small, faithful acts of showing up week after week.
Life isn't meant to be walked alone, especially through the valleys. Our community believes in the power of prayer and the strength that comes from carrying each other's burdens. Whether you're facing a crisis, celebrating a breakthrough, or navigating everyday challenges, we're here to pray with you, listen without judgment, and walk alongside you through whatever you're experiencing.
Curious about faith but not sure where to begin? You're in exactly the right place. KAVOD is full of people who started with questions, doubts, and uncertainty—and found a community that welcomed them as they were. There's no pressure to have it all figured out, no religious hoops to jump through. Just real people, honest conversations, and a God who meets us right where we are.
Who we are
From Small Beginnings to Growing Impact
What started as a leap of faith has become a movement of God's grace in Grand Rapids.
When the world paused during the COVID-19 pandemic and church doors closed, we felt God calling us to do something different. In a time when many were isolated and searching, we launched KAVOD Fellowship—a ministry born from a simple desire to share God's glory with both churched and unchurched neighbors in the Madison Square community.
Those first gatherings were humble: 6-8 people meeting in a church lobby, socially distanced but spiritually connected. We opened God's Word together, shared our hearts, and lifted each other up in prayer. There was something beautiful in that simplicity—raw fellowship, authentic faith, and the unmistakable presence of God.
